We have a design that implements a 122.88MHz VCXO with LMK04208 that has a Control Voltage Range(Vc) of 0V to 3.3V. This VCXO is driven by CPOUT1 charge pump output.
We are now in the beta phase of production and the original VCXO has gone out of stock. Therefore a substitute was selected and this VCXO has a Control Voltage Range(Vc) ranging from 0.3V to 3.0V.
Moreover, in page 8 of the datasheet of the LMK04208 it is mentioned that the CPOUT1 can range from 0.5 V < VCPout1 < VCC - 0.5 V. hence both VCXOs can be controlled by CPOUT1.
Therefore, I would like to inquire whether there is any performance decrease in using the substituted part.
