CDC7005: MTBF - how is it determined?

Part Number: CDC7005

I have used the MTBF/FIT estimator for this and some other parts.

However, it is not clear to me how the tests to determine these figures are done.

I assumed HTOL was used with the parts operating at their maximum ratings (voltage, temperature, current etc.) but I could not find a document that confirmed that assumption.

Hi, Noel,

I have already seen those pages, but they do not answer my specific question on how the samples are tested. I am assuming they have the maximum voltage applied and exercised as they would in a normal application except for the temperature. For example, in the case of CDC7005, all channels of each sample are programed and loaded at the worst case (highest frequency) and left working for 1000 hours at 105 degrees C. Is that so?

Hi Elder,

Unfortunately, I haven't got an answer from the backend team so far. I have checked a few qualification reports of different parts, HTOL is usually performed at the max. temperature for a certain number of hours (500 to 1000 hrs). Operating frequency, voltage are not specified.
