ADS131E08S: Is it possible to use ADS131E08S with external Vref

Hello,

I'm using the ADS131E08S ADC in a project I'm working on. The Vref voltage is 4V because the ADC is powered by 5v. However, in my own application, I need to cancel the internal Vref regulator, and instead of the internal regulator, I need to use a 2.5V external reference regulator. Is it possible to cancel the internal reference regulator? I can run the ADC by using an external 2.5V regulator in the products with the same manufacturer code, namely "ADS131E08S", that I bought in previous years. However, I cannot provide this for products that I have recently supplied. Can you help with this issue?

    Hello Mustafa,

    Thank you for your post.

    Unfortunately, the ADS131E08S only supports an internal reference. The device is programmed this way during our test program and cannot be undone. You will need to use the ADS131E08, or we can suggest an alternative device for your application.
