Hello

I am using DAC5311/DAC7311 in our design , when I connect it to load the output is 0, without load the output is ok.

What can be the problem?

What is the nature of load? Resistive? Capacitive? How much?

I will check it tomorrow, should I connect amplifier?, What is the max current fom the DAC?

Hi Roi,

At VDD=5V you can refer to this plot for the current source and sink when the DAC is at 0xFFF and 0x000.

If you need more than a few milliamps then you should use a high current output amplifier.

Just to be sure,when VREF/AVDD is 2.5V,Vout=1.4V,D=573 -> I=~6mA ?

Hi Roi,

That figure is an application curve for the application circuit given in section 9.2. It does not show the output current of the DAC.
