Hi Experts,
Our customer is looking for Pspice model for this part. The only available model on our site is for TINA-TI. I have instructed the customer how to import this model to Pspice by referencing this post, however, it appears that the available download (ADSXX51_Encrypted.tsc) is encrypted.
Can you help with this? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Marvin
Hello Marvin,
Thank you for your post.
The macro model for the ADC is encrypted, but the TINA-TI .TSC file can be opened and used without any extra steps. The control waveforms for CSZ and SCLK are provided with a timing example already.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thank you for the response.
The customer tried to open the .TSC file in TINA and export a *.CIR file there is the line "* SUBCKT: ADSXX51_SCH_0 encrypted macro, content not displayed". So they can't generate a part in PSPICE.
Can you help further?
Regards,
Marvin
Hello Marvin,
Let me discuss with the team how to best support this. We may have to convert the model to PSPICE ourselves and release it separately. I'll get back to you shortly.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Any update on this? Have you converted the model to PSPICE? Would you kindly share the link or the file?
Thanks!
Regards,
Marvin
Hi Marvin,
Thanks for your patience. I don't have a converted model just yet. We are working to find resources to do it, but I've notified the right people to this request and expect a response shortly.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan.
Thank you very much. I will wait for your response.

Marvin
Hello Marvin,
I've learned that it's the device netlist itself which is encrypted. We would need an unencrypted netlist in order to port the model to PSpice. I'm still working to see if it will be possible to support this request.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thank you. Please let me know if you are able to support this request.
Regards,
Marvin
Hi Marvin - this will not be an easy request to support. We are meeting about this again tomorrow, but it will take some time to develop the model.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the update. Please let me know if you are able to develop a model.
Regards,
Marvin
Hi Marvin,
We are working to develop a model in PSpice by the end of this week. I'll review it once completed and then let you know when it's available for download.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thank you so much for the help. I am looking forward to this.

Marvin
Marvin,
Please refer to : https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa531/sbaa531.pdf for details on how to use the mode and how it functions. I can help answer questions as well.
Art
Hi Art,
Thank you for the reference document.
I would like to know if were you able to develop a model in PSpice as Ryan previously suggested?
Thank you.
Regards,
Marvin
Marvin,
Yes. It is in the library. To access the TI library you can select "Place>PSpice Component > Search". Then find the ADC folder and past the part. You can also download the reference design from the device folder on TI.com and unzip it. The document that I linked in gives a lot of detail on how to use the model and what kind of simulations are useful.
