DAC128S085: SPI communication

Part Number: DAC128S085

Is there a SPI sequence that can put the DAC in non reversible OFF state ?

After power up, DAC can be initialized randomly. In some cases it can no longer be addressed, or Voltage outputs cannot be set.

How Voltage outputs behave, if permanent data processing in WT-mode, SYNC high 200ns, CLK 64ns ?

  • Hello Guenter,

There is no SPI sequence that I'm aware of that would cause this. Can you send the list of write commands that you send before the issue and possible a scope shot of the command before the error? Is it always the same command sequence, or will other orders of sequences cause the error? Does the issue correct itself after a power cycle? Can you share your schematic as well so we can take a look?

    Best,
