Hi Jingzhan,
The issue you are seeing might be a driver issue. Please follow the instructions in the two documents below to update the drivers.

The driver has been installed successfully. However, the problem is still unsolved.
Now, the problem mentioned above has been solved with the method for another similar ADC EVM provided by /cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/73/0358.ADC10DV200EB-startup.pdf. However, a new error appeared, as the figure shows. No matter how to change the clock frequency (from 10-160 MHz) and power (10-20 dBm), the clock cannot be detected.
Hi Jingzhan,
Did you try cycling the power of the entire EVM setup and PC?
Regards,
Rob
Rob, thanks for your reply. We've tried cycling the power of the EVM and PC, as the figure above suggests. However, it still cannot work.
Hi Jingzhan,
May I ask if this board is new? Has it ever worked?
You will have to give us until next week, as we will need to dig up one of these older EVMs and set it up.
Typically the error shown above is from the USB not connecting properly. If you are using a USB hub, please remove and connect the USB cable straight into the PC.
Regards,
Rob
Hi, Rob. The ADC EVM (ADC16DV160HFEB) and the wavevision haedware are new, and this is the first time I use them since I received them in august 2022. We connected the USB cable straight into the PC without a USB hub.
Hi Jingzhan,
Thank you for the confirmation. I will look at this in the lab and see if we have the same issue.
Regards,
Rob
Hi Jingzhan,
We have tested this in the lab and we were able to bring up the ADC EVM in the WaveVision software without errors. One thing we did notice was that the clock and power must be provided before launching WaveVision.
The steps that we followed are:
Please try these and let us know if this resolves your problem.
Regards,
Camilo
Thanks, Camilo and Rob, the problem has been solved according to the steps you provided.
