ADS1248: How to do compatible design in ADS1248 for PT1000 and NTC?

Dear team,

How to do compatible design in ADS1248 for both PT1000 and NTC design? Our recommend circuit is for PT1000, but I can not figure out how to do compatible for NTC. The precision is required in 2 degree. Thanks!

Hi Zoe Yang,

A thermistor is basically just a resistor divider circuit, where one of the resistors is a constant resistance (bias resistor) and the other is the variable resistor (NTC).

You can review section 2.8.2 in our thermocouple cookbook for more information: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sbaa274

This section talks about cold junction compensation using an NTC, and an example circuit diagram is given.
