Hi,
The customer uses ADS1015 to collect the single-terminal signal of the power supply voltage.
The input pin uses AIN0 and AIN1. How to configure the AIN2 and AIN3 pin of ADS1015, whether it is suspended or given a fixed state or other state ?
Hi ??,
If only two input channels are required (or one pair of differential inputs), the ADS1014 could be used instead. When using the ADS1015, the unused channels can be left floating, or if desired can be pulled to the VDD supply or to GND. The system designer can make the preferred choice and there is no specific recommendation.
Best regards,
Bob B
Hi Anna,
I answered too quickly. The table is correct as the ADS1014 does not have the ability to select a mux configuration. There is only one input configuration that can be used as either a differential input or if one input is connected to GND the other input can be for a single-ended input referenced to GND.
The muxed inputs are only available on the ADS1015. So your original idea of using the ADS1015 for 2 single-ended inputs would be the correct device option.
