Hi team,

For this AFE10004 ,we are given supplies VIO=3.3V , VDD=5V, VCC=0V, & VSS=N5V0

Our doubt is we are controlling the pins DRIVEN1 and DRIVEN2 by a soc whose pin voltage level is 1.8V. we need confirmation that we will able to control these pins with 1.8V logic level GPIOs.

Hi Nimesh,

According to the datasheet, the VIH voltage required is 1.3V across all VIO voltages. So according to the datasheet, an input voltage of 1.8V would work in operating the DRVEN pins when VIO = 3.3V. I'll double check the setup and let you know by tomorrow if it works for sure.

Hi Nimesh,

I ran a bench test on our EVM board with the same parameters: VIO = 3.3V, VDD = 5V, VCC = 0V, and VSS = n5V. I applied a digital input of 1.8V to the DRVEN0 pin. With this setup, the clamp switches operated as expected. Your system should work fine with the 1.8V digital logic. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi Erin,

One more doubt regarding AFE10004 we have.

Could you please confirm the maximum input current of DRVEN1 and DRVEN2 pins . Is it 1uA each ?

Hi Sreejitha,

Yes, 1uA is the maximum input current for each DRVEN pin. It is not the two pins combined.
