AFE10004: Fast Output Switching (between CLAMP and DAC level) - Is this available on all 4 gate drive outputs

Part Number: AFE10004

Currently I am trying to evaluate this part based on the AFE10004 (SBASA60 - DECEMBER 2020) datasheet that consist primarily of the first page overview and the SLAA946 Application Report.  On the SLAA946 document figure 4-1 there appears to be a distinction between GaN gate drive DAC0/3 going to 1st and 4th GaN fet gate and OUT1/2 going to 2nd and 3rd GaN fet gate.  Par 6 (Fast Output Switching) along with Figure 6-1 show OUT1 (and I will assume OUT2 is the same) able to switch between CLAMP1 level and DAC1 level.  Is this feature available on all Four (4) gate drive outputs?

How can I get a full datasheet for this product?

Thanks

  • Hi Robert,

On the AFE10004 page you can request more information by clicking the Request Now link. TI Software Approval - TI.com We are sharing the information with customers that have an NDA in place, so please email me directly e-guthrie@ti.com and we can check if we already have one in place.

In relation to your question, though, here's how the DACs and OUT pins are setup.

OUTx can fast switch from DAC1/2 value (VGS On) and the CLAMPx value (VPinchoff)

DAC0 and DAC3 can fast switch to CLAMPx value, but only switching with a slower slew to the DAC value again.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Erin,

Thanks very much for the quick reply.  I now have the full data sheet which reflects your information on the differences between the 4 gate drive outputs.

    Thanks
