AFE4490: Installation help

Part Number: AFE4490

Hi Experts,

Our customer is currently tasked with deploying the AFE4490 GUI and drivers package to a number of machines.

He has found the silent install switches required for the main setup.exe but what he is finding is the Python 2.7 installation requires user input to complete.  How can he complete the silent installation process with the Python 2.7 prompt?

He has tested installing Python 2.7 prior to running the setup.exe for the GUI and drivers, yet the Python package still installs.

Please help advise. Thank you.

Best regards,
Gerald

  • Hi,

It's not clear to me what customer mean by

Customer will need to follow the prompt from the screen and click either OK or Next to complete the installation.

So, let me ask a simple and counter question?

Can customer follow the user guide and complete the GUI installation?

If not, at which step, the installation failed? And, could customer please provide any screenshot?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

The installation works fine, the issue he is facing is he needs this to be fully silent from the user.

The installation commands he is using is:

    setup.exe /qb /AcceptLicenses yes /r:n /k:n /disableNotificationCheck /confirmCriticalWarnings

This installs the GUI fine and does what he need – it is the Python 2.7 installation that appears at the end with the user prompt causing the issue – what he needs to know is it possible to either make this Python install silent, bypass this this version as they are currently using version 3.11 or pass a parameter to confirm the final prompt?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

We don't support to alter or make installation to adapt that silent(background) installation.

    Thanks.
