LM10011: Analog controller to DC/DC connection and support

Part Number: LM10011
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6655, TPS54527

Hi,

I am looking for information regarding the LM10011 Analog controller to connect between the core voltage of DSP TMS320C6655 to TPS54527 DC/DC.

Can I use this DC/DC with the analog converter to supply voltage for the DSP core (0.85v - 1.1v)?

I connected the VFB of TPS54527 to I_OUT of LM10011. Also, the TPS54527 DC/DC is configured to 1.1v (Max Core voltage) output.

VIDA,B,C,S also connected to the DSP with 4.7k PU resistors to DSP 1.8v.

  • Hi Daniel,

To confirm, the DSP is controlling the LM10011 to change the DC/DC output which is connected to the DSP core? Similar to the schematic from the LM10011 datasheet?

This should be fine as long as the VDD of the LM10011 is in the range of 2.97 V to 5.5 V

Make sure the VOL and VOH of the DSP meet the VIL and VIH requirements of the LM10011 for all core voltages.

The TPS54527 has a max VFB input current of 0.15uA which could add some error to the system especially at lower IDAC currents from the LM10011.

RFB1 and RFB2 need to be calculated to reach your desired output range based on the IDAC outputs of the LM10011.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Best,

    Katlynne Jones
