adc12dj5200rfevm: Regarding the Full-Scale Voltage of the ADC12DJ5200RFEVM

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RFEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC12DJ5200RF

Hi team.

I am currently using the ADC12DJ5200RF EVM along with the ADCxxDJxx00 GUI for my project. While utilizing the GUI, I have come across a query related to the Gain Full Scale settings for INA and INB.

In the GUI, I have observed that the Gain Full Scale settings allow me to configure up to 1040.000mVpo. However, my requirement involves measurements up to 1.2V. I am wondering if you could provide guidance on how to achieve this configuration within the GUI.

Best regards,

ryota

  • Hi Ryota,

The max differential input voltage this device can be programmed for is 1060mV with FS_RANGE_A = FS_RANGE_B = 0xFFFF. To accept a 1.2V Vpp-diff signal, the input network must contain an attenuator to reduce the 1.2Vpp-diff signal to an acceptable range. The input network on this EVM contains a lossy balun as well as 3dB attenuator, input network attenuation is likely close to 4.5dB, so you should be able to apply this signal without issue to the EVM input.
