ADC128S052-Q1: SCLK Frequency

Thanks for your question. It looks like the clock frequency in the operating conditions table may be a cut-and-paste error, so please disregard those values. We will look into getting that fixed.

This is an older part and I understand that this specification reads a little confusing. When operating the device with SCLK between 3.2MHz and 8MHz, all devices tested by TI maintained their specified parametric performance, as noted in the electrical characteristics table. When SCLK is below 3.2MHz (to as low as 0.8MHz) or above 8MHz (up to 16Mhz), all devices tested were functional. However a few were found to suffer parametric degradation beyond the specifications (say SNR decreased by 1dB beyond specification) - although nothing catastrophic.
