Hello,
My customer has some questions of VOUT ripple of DAC8775.
The below is from the datasheet(SLVSBY7) on P12.
They want to confirm the condition of this parameter.
1. Is an optional RC filter (like the below) used in this case? If yes, is the Fc=50KHz?
2. What is VOUT voltage in this case? Is it 10V range mid scale code like Figure 75?
Regards,
Oba
Hi Oba-san,
1. Yes, the VOUT ripple measurement uses a low-pass filter like the one circled in the figure on VPOS_IN_X. The datasheet mentions "Additional passive filters can optionally be added between the schottky diode and input supply pins (VPOS_IN_x and VNEG_IN_x) to attenuate the ripple feeding into the VPOS_IN_x and VNEG_IN_x pin" directly before the image. For the measurement, 50 kHz was used for the cutoff, but I don't have any information about the specific values.
2. Yes, it appears that the 10 V range, midscale code figure directly matches the Output Ripple characteristic, so it is likely that was the test case used to get the 2 mVpp value.
Thanks,
Lucas
