Hi,

Could you let me know why there is price gap between ADS7951 and TLA2518?

It has similar performance in noise, resolution and speed perspective.

    Hello David,

    There are a few reasons for the price difference:

    The ADS7951 is qualified up to 125° C, while the TLA2518 is only qualified up to 85° C. 

    The ADS7951 undergoes more testing so the performance is also characterized over a wider range. If you look at section 7.6 in the ADS7951 datasheet most of the parameters are characterized with Min, Typ, and Max values. In section 6.5 of the TLA2518 datasheet most of the parameters are just Typ.

    In short, the ADS7951 will guarantee performance over a wider range, while the TLA2518 will not.
