ADS131M02: Bridge type pressure sensor application

The customer is looking for a ADC for Bridge type pressure sensor. 24Bit and 10k SPS.

Whether ADS131M02 could be used in this application?

If not, why?

I also promote ADS1260 and ADS125H01.

But ADS131M02 is much cheaper than the above two device.

Hi Fabio Gou,

The ADS1235 and ADS1260 / ADS1261 are typically used for bridge measurements because they have:

Low noise, high gain PGAs
High input impedance
Differential reference inputs for a ratiometric reference

The ADS131M02 does not have any of these features. Therefore, it could be used for bridge measurements, but you would not get the best performance like you would with the ADS123x or ADS126x devices. That is why the ADS131M02 is lower cost.
