AMC131M01: Main clock for multiple ADCs

Tool/software:

I use 4 ADCs via the same SPI, do all ADCs have to be connected to the same (external CMOS) oscillator or can I use a separate oscillator for each ADC? What are the effects of the solutions (common/separate oscillators)?

    Hi Andreas,

    You can use a separate oscillator for each device, but you probably won't be able to properly synchronize them together if you do. The phase variance between the oscillators will cause a small time delay for the synchronization between the devices.
