DAC5675A-SP: Question about CLK/CLKC

Part Number: DAC5675A-SP

Tool/software:

Hello,

Q1:
Datasheet 7.5 specifies |CLK-CLKC| = 0.4 to 0.8Vpp.
I am confused.
Which is correct, #1 or #2 below?

Q2:
My customer would like sine wave single-ended CLK input like Figure 18 in the datasheet. If CM dc voltage of the sine wave CLK is different from AVdd/2, should it be ac-coupled using series capacitor? If yes how much [nF] cap is recommended?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Kazuhiko,

Differential voltage means that each half of the differential pair can only swing half of the max differential voltage. If you change 0.4-0.8Vpp of the #1 into 0.2-0.4Vpp, then it will be correct. The #2 is correct.

If you need to ac couple then a 100nF series capacitor for AC coupling is a good choice.

    Thanks, Chase
