AFE5851EVM: What is required alongside this part? (ADSDeSER-50EVM or TSW1400EVM)? Are there updated versions?

Hello,

Our team recently purchased an AFE5851 evaluation board for testing, and I was looking through the datasheet and found that a deserializer like the ones listed in the title would be required alongside the evaluation board. Are these two boards the only options for this purpose? Neither of them appear to be manufactured anymore.

Hi,

Unfortunately both capture cards are obsolete. Currently there is no other capture card. I would like to ask what do you want to test on EVM ?

Our main purpose for it would be ultrasound testing. I am unfamiliar with the protocol used by the board to serialize the data (LVDS) as this is our first time using an EVM like this. Are there any substitute boards you know of or would it be better to try and find one of the two boards second-hand?

Protocol is explained in datasheet . Even if you get the TSW capture card the fpga used on them is obsolete .So you cannot use same fpga for your system. Instead I would recommend to directly start building your system .
