Hi Team,
We have a E-meter reference design named PMP23338, which used AMC1306 as the current sensing.
Currently, we promoted it to customer to do the same function, I would like to check with you what's the differences of Setting time & Latency time, or how to calculate them. Could you please provide your professional answer here? Thanks a lot.
BRs,
Francis
Hi Francis,
Settling time is how quickly the modulator stabilizes after a change in input. The duration it takes the output to settle.
Latency is the delay before the data transfers from the input to output.
Please note the values on the slide are for OSR 64. The values can change with different OSRs as shown in the app note: Comparing Isolated Amplifiers and Isolated Modulators (Rev. B)
May I ask who is the customer?
Best regards,
Eva
