How about TVP7002 ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TVP7002, LMH1980, LMH1981, LMH1983, LMH1982

Hi

I'd lik to replace with TI from TDA9955(nxp)?

How about TVP7002 ?

Is it compatible with TI vs NXP in functionality aspects?

Thanks...

  • Yes, the TVP7002 could replace this device.  The digital I/O for the TVP7002 is 3.3V.

Support of 24Hz, 25Hz and 30Hz 1080p and 720p formats with sync-on-Y will require an external sync separator, however.

  • LMH1981 and LMH1980 are two video sync separator with automatic format detection that can support all frame rates of 480i/p, 576i/p, 720p, 1080i/p video standards.  These parts are from National Semiconductor's video timing portfolio.

LMH1981 has 50% sync slicing, low additive jitter, and is commonly used for genlock circuits in broadcast and pro video systems.

LMH1980 has fixed-level sync slicing and also support Sync on Green for many PC graphics (VESA) timing.  This part is targeted for consume, pro-sumer, and PC applications.

LMH1982 and LMH1983 are the companion video/audio clock & timing generators.

EVMs are offered for all these devices as well.

  • Hi:

Can TVP7002 auto- detect all frame input?

         Thanks!

  • Hi all:

Can TVP7002 auto-detect all frame input form VGA?

i want to use TVP7002 that:

VGA input to TVP7002 , and digital output to FPGA,  need FPGA deal with the position of the  effective pixel?

And FPGA output drive LCD to re-display video?

Any total solution by TI for this video convert!

         Thanks very much!

  • Hi Alan,

We are using a monochrome video camera whose DC offset and Black Level varies from camera to camera (of the same model). For our application we have to extract only the video content (700mV).Has there any single IC which extracts only the video content out of the composite video signal? An attachment is given describing different voltage levels of the camera output. Referring to the attachment levels C and D changes from camera to camera. We need an IC which gives out only D-E portion out of the composite video signal.

I tried AC coupling, but it caused the DC level to vary w.r.t the video amplitude.

  • Sinoj,

The only solution that comes to mind is to use a limiting op amp to do the sync stripping.

See Application Report SLOA057A section 3.2 Sync Stripping.

I'm not intimately familiar with this design, but just remember seeing it a while back...maybe it's applicable in your application?

If you need help on these op amp designs, I suggest posting your questions on the High Speed Amps forum (fyi- I work on clocking device now).

    Regards,
    Alan
