12 bit DAC with 0-10V output

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC813, DAC8562, DAC7716, DAC2932

Hello!

I am looking for 12-bit DAC with 0-10V output. Does TI offers such parts?

Andrey

  • Hi Andrey,

    We do.

How many channels are you looking for?  The DAC813 may work if you need a single channel single chip solution. For newer devices, try looking at the DAC7716 if you need four channels. There is always the option of a discrete solution with a single channel DAC and a gain stage as we show in the DAC8562 data sheet.

  • Thank you Tony,

It may indeed be better to use single supply DAC and amplify it's output.

On that note, can you provide Application Note describing conversion of DAC output from 0 - 3V to 0-10V with good linearity?

    2. I got another question for you. Another design happening here uses high speed DACs from Analog Devices AD9117 (14 bit, 65MSPS) and AD9116 (12 bit, 65MSPS). These parts output data in parallel format single ended CMOS. Do you have substitution for these prts which also outputs data parallel in LVDS format?

    Thank you,

    Andrey

  • Hi Andrey,

For Q2 above, there are no LVDS output DACs in our portfolio.  Our high-speed data converter group may be able to point you to something in their product line though.  You might start out by looking at parts like the DAC2932.
