ADC14DC080 EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC14DC080, ADC12DC105

Hello,

I found that ADC14DC080 User's guide.
But, I can see the ADC14DC105 EVM only.

Could you please let me know how to get the ADC14DC080 EVM?

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • Hi,

As you mentioned the user guide has described ADC14DC105 EVM only.

But the EVM is same for :

    ADC12DC080, ADC14DC080,
    ADC12DC105, or ADC14DC105

    Just ADCs will be replaced.

So even for ADC14DC080, you can go through the same document.

    Document says:

This Evaluation Board may be used to evaluate one of the A/D Converters : ADC12DC080, ADC14DC080, ADC12DC105, or ADC14DC105.

    Regards,

    Gautam

  • Mr. Asaka,

The ADC14DC080 is a different speed grade of the ADC14DC105 and due to such close similarity of the products, an EVM is no longer available for the ADC14DC080, only the ADC14DC105. The EVM for the ADC14DC105 can be evaluated to validate all the features but will differ slightly in the performance.

To evaluate the performance of the ADC14DC080, an ADC14DC105LFEB eval board may be reworked to place an ADC14DC080 device.

  • Hello Joshua san,

    Thank you for the information.
Must we replaced from ADC14DC105 to ADC14DC080 myself ?
Or, we can get the replaced EVM from TI ?

    Best Regards,
    Ryuji Asaka
  • Mr. Asaka,

TI does not have EVMs populated with the ADC14DC080. The easiest method would be to work with a PCB re-work contractor in your area to have the ADC changed on the EVM. The ADC device may be obtained for free via a sample request through the eStore.

    Regards, Josh

  • Dear Josh san,

    OK. I understood.
    Thank you for your reply.
