ADS1606 EVM can't change buffer level

Are you referring to the 2X mode or are you changing the gain of the buffering amplifier?

I'm changing the FIFO buffer level to 2.

Have you noted the comments on "Readback considerations" section in the datasheet on page 24 and shown in Figure 24?

If you are not reading all the data, the DRDY period changes to a slower frequency

But why does this not affect the DRDY signal when the buffer level is set to 2?

When you say that DRDY period changes to a slower frequency, I don't see that on the oscilloscope. It's just a constant high.

I tried toggling the read line but it didn't work.

The DRDY is behaving strangely too, it's no longer a square wave even if I turn off the FIFO.

The Red LED is always on and I tried to it off with SW2, but it will come back as soon as I let go.

Is the board broken?

Sorry I made a mistake, let me clarify. DRDY is performing fine...

I set the FIFO buffer level 8, and I toggled the read line 8 times but the frequency of the DRDY is the same as if the FIFO is not even turned on.
