Hi~
Our customer will use DAC5688 or DAC5689.
In DAC5688/DAC5689 Part,
Can we output On/Off for IOUTA and IOUTB Individually?
Please recommend related register parameter and value...
If can't adjusted, Please recommend another part....

Jayden,
Config26, bit5 and 4 perform IOUTA and IOUTB sleep. Please see page 22 of the datasheet for detail.
Channel B can be placed in sleep mode independent of channel A. However, if Channel A is placed in sleep mode, channel B is also in sleep mode.
The DAC348x family also have individual output sleep control.

Hi~
Our customer have another question for DAC5688/DAC5689 Part.
If see datasheet 1page, it mentioned that "The DAC5689 allows both complex or real output"
Our customer want real output.
If we use real output, What is related register value?
Also, If we use real output, What is different between complex output and real output?
Please reponse.
Hi Jayden,
The DAC3482's I and Q output can be independently programmed to sleep mode by using the CONFIG35 and the CMOS SLEEP pin. Please refer to datasheet page 44 for detail.

Hi Jayden,
You may refer to the following app note on the DAC5688/89 configurations needed for real output. The section 5 will answer your questions in detail.

Basically:
1. Real input / Real output: the complex fine mixer either needs to be disabled or only operate in fs/2 mode.
2. Complex input / real output: the digital data going into the DAC has to be complex (I/Q) data. NCO and fine mixer may be used to shift the position of the signal with respect to frequency. The real output is valid at either the I or the Q output.
3. Complex input / complex output: the input digital data going into the DAC has to be complex (I/Q data). NCO and fine mixer may be used to shift the position of the signal with respect to frequency. The DAC output has to be connect to I/Q modulator (i.e. TRF3703-33) for complex RF upconversion.
