Dear specialists,
My customer is encountered the trouble of ADC08D1000.
Could you please advise him .
The detail is following.
<<<question>>>
Device:ADC08D1000
according to datasheet P.39(On-Command Calibration),
it says that not run a calibration while operating the ADC in Auto DES Mode.
He wants to know which result is happened if it is done ?
1) Calibration is ignored.
2) Calibration is executed.
3) the device may be unstable.
4) Other penomenon is happened.
The background is following.
The bug was found in the customer's product.
The program was wrongly sent to the On-command Calibration during DES Mode.
Almost devices were calibrated, but some were not output the clock.
He is thinking On-command Calibration is not ended.
Actually, is it assumed such phenomenon?
Best regards,
Hi Shinichi
In the ADC08D1000, ADC08D500 and ADC08D1500, if the On-Command calibration is done when the ADC is set in Auto DES Mode, the internal clock duty cycle correction circuitry can become unstable and the internal clock will stop. The only way to recover from this state is to power-cycle the ADC.
For this reason, the device must first be set to non-DES mode, then calibrated, then set back to Auto DES mode.
I hope this is helpful.
Best regards,
Jim B
Dear Jim
