Hello brothers,
I want to use ADS7845 for a very low resistance five wire touch application. The screen has a resistance below 20 ohms as measured when two corners are grounded and the opposite two corners are placed at 3.3V. This would result in 100mA of total current flow. I cannot find a max touch screen drive current spec, but intuitively it seems I might be pushing my luck using this controller with its total Rds(on) almost the same as the ITO layer resistance. I know Microchip's five wire controller specifically states it is meant for screens above 50 ohms which means it could not likely be used either. Comments?
