Suggest an ADC with 2 Channels,10MHz Simultaneous Sampling

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1610, ADS1675

Hi ppl,

Can some1 suggest an ADC with the following features :

1 . It should have two channels

2. Minimum Sampling rate of 10MHz

3. Resolution 24 bits. Input signal will vary from -2V to 2 V.

4. Both the channels should be acquired simultaneously. I am trying to measure the phase shift between a pair of signals. Hence, simultaneous acquisition is of at-most importance.

5. Power Consumption is not a big issue, as this project is in the research phase only.

Regards,

  • Hi Anand,

thank you very much for your question, however I believe you are trying to achieve something impossible.
You are asking for 24-bit resolution which usually requires a Delta-Sigma converter. We only have one Delta-Sigma ADC in our portfolio that can run at this high data rates, ADS1610. However this is a 16bit device and the SNR that you can achieve at this high data rates is in the 80dB range. So far from a 24bit resolution.

ADS1675 would probably be one device that would come the closest to your requirements. But you will have to use two of them in parallel and synchronize them in order to simultaneously sample two signals.
