DAC7551-Q1 Reference impedance error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC7551-Q1

Hi,

In a similar question, I'm sorry.

DAC7551-Q1 datasheet (SLAS767B) in the section of page5 REFERENCE INPUT  it is defined in the "Reference input impedance = 100kΩ (typ)".

Does this 100kΩ, there are how much of the error?

Best regards

  • Hi Cafain,

Given that the resistors that make up the ladder can vary up to ±20% at room temperature, the reference input impedance can also by ±20%. This will not affect the performance of the DAC because the architecture relies on closely matched resistors, not the absolute value. It will only affect the load on the reference.
The reference load current is probably a better estimate of an extreme scenario as the max spec for load current is 100 μA across temperature with VREF = VDD = 5 V. Does this answer your question?
