WaveVision5 & ADC10D1500BR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WAVEVISION5

Hi.

we have a ADC10D1500BR and wavevision5 s/w.

but some problem.....

i want to see 100ns pulse signal.

how do i adjust to wavevision5?

  • Hi Dongjin

I expect you are having difficulties getting the data capture record to capture the narrow pulse since the pulse has a low repetition rate. If you have control over the timing/generation of  the 100ns pulse, you can try using the Hardware Trigger input feature of the board and Wavevision5 software to synchronize data capture with the pulse event.

There is a Hardware Trigger checkbox on the Registers>Settings tab on the right side of the Wavevision5 GUI. If you check this box, and then click the Capture Data icon, the board will wait until the hardware trigger input to the board goes to logic high before storing data.

The Hardware Trigger input needs to be a logic level which transitions between 0V and approximately 3V.

There will be some delay between the trigger voltage positive edge and the actual capture of data, so you may need to adjust the timing of the trigger signal with respect to your pulse somewhat to get the 100ns event to happen in the sampled data. It will also help to maximize the length of the data capture. This setting is found in the Signal Source tab on the right side. The Acquisition Size can be changed using the drop-down menu. Choose the maximum length that is available.

Hopefully this helps achieve what you need.

    Best regards,
