Hi,

I would like to ask you a basic question as below.

Q) Is it possible for DAC5688 to make/output sin/cosin wave with no-input data?

That is to say, can we use DAC5688 as "DDS" device?

How about AFE7070?

My customer is using AD9951 and the customer has been looking for similar device with 16Bit in place of AD9951.

Hi Takumi,

Yes DAC5688 can output CW signal with no input signal.

AFE7070 will need input data but after words you can use the NCO to move it.

Hi Takumi,

Let take back what I said about AFE7070. Actually you can use AFE7070 without input data, but you will need to provide an LO for the analog quadrature modulator.
