AMC1210MB-EVM: TI evaluation software fails (NI-VISA AMC1210MB-EVM Driver not installed)

Part Number: AMC1210MB-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1209, AMC1210

I am attempting to use the ADS1209 evaluation module. The User's Guide (SBAU167–March 2010) suggests that an AMC1210MB-EVM is appropriate for testing.

So I purchased this as well.  I have not been able to communicate with the AMC1210MB board using the TI Evaluation Software (ftp.ti.com/.../amc1210mb-evm-1.0.2.exe)

As per the AMC1210MB-EVM  User's Guide  (SBAU188A–February 2012–Revised February 2016) a Labview demo program is installed, but seems to need a National Instruments driver to communicate with the AMC1210 motherboard ("NI-VISA AMC1210MB-EVM Driver").  This is not installed, and instead an entry appears in the Windows 8.1 Device Drivers list called "Generic Bulk Device". Obviously this does not have the desired functionality.  Running the demo program - for instance by pressing the Normal LabView Start arrow - pops up a message box stating "An unexpected error occurred. Please check all hardware...restart the program."

Any suggestions? I was not able to find anything even vaguely resembling an AMC1210 VISA driver on the TI or National Instruments sites.

Thanks (Windows 8.1, updates all current)
