ADC16DX370EVM not showing up in HSDC Pro v4.70

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC16DX370EVM, ADC16DX370

Josh,

I am having the same problem.  The ADC16DX370EVM is not showing up as a menu option for the ADC in the HSDC Pro v 4.70.  I absolutely made sure the ADC16DX370EVM Configuration GUI was installed properly with both software packages installed in the default locations.  What is my next step?

Thanks,

Craig Swanson

  • Hi Craig
Which TSW14Jxx capture board are you using?
First power up the TSW14Jxx board and connect it to the computer?
Then launch HSDC Pro. The board should be recognized by HSDC Pro and selected from the board choice dialog box. Once that is done the connected board will be listed in the bottom center of the HSDC Pro GUI display.
Once an ADC16DX370EVM compatible TSW14JXx board is connected, the ADC16DX370_LMF_xxx choices should show up in the HSDC Pro drop-down.
    Best regards,
    Jim B
  • Jim,
I am not using the TSW14Jxx. I am using the Xilinx KCU105 Kintex UltraScale Development Board.

  • Hi Craig

The ADC16DX370 is not showing up in the drop-down because there is no .ini file for that board in the following folder location.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\KCU105 Details\ADC files

I am checking with a colleague to see if we have a verified .ini file for that board with the KCU105.

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Hi Craig

    Sorry for the long delay.

We finally getting resources together to generate an .ini file to support the ADC16DX370EVM with the KCU105.

The ADC EVM supports a few different JESD204B link operating modes. Do you have a specific operating mode in mind?

Our preference would be to start with the default mode that the ADC16DX370EVM starts up in (LMF = 222, High Speed Data Converter Pro setting is "ADC16DX370_LMF_222").

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Hi Craig,

Please find the KCU105 .ini file (LMF 421) and instructions (power point) attached here.

    ADC16DX370 (LMF_421) using the KCU105.pptx

    ADC16DX370_LMF_421.ini

The LMF 222 mode is currently being debugged.
