Hi,
I want to use the multiple DAC38RF83 in my application and the phase relation between all dac outputs is very important.
Will all components have the same phase? the JESD204B class 1 gives deterministic latency just for the serdes part.
What about the delay of all the FIRs, NCOs and the DAC? will it also be deterministic and constant between different parts?
How will it vary in temperature?
In the datasheet of ADC32RF45, "aperture delay matching" is mentioned. Is there a similar spec for DACs?
Thanks,
Guy.
Multi-Device Synchronization of JESD204B Data Converters.pptxmultiple DAC sync.pdfGuy,
The DAC specifies a settling time and latency, which is shown in section 7.9 of the data sheet. When using subclass 1, by design all of the DAC's that are referenced to the same device clock and SYSREF signals will have the same latency. See the attached TI Design for an example synchronizing two JESD DAC EVM's and the app note regarding this subject.
Regards,
Jim
