ADS42JB46: Minimum Input Amplitude

Hi Team,

My customer is interested in getting an understanding of the minimum input amplitude possible on the ADS42JB46EVM + TSW14J50.

Their radio signal can come in as low as -110dBm and through a series of components, gain about 30dB.

They are interested to evaluate two-tone distortion at these lower power levels (similar to graph 17 in the datasheet). What is the lowest analog input signal that is possible to evaluate these two-tone distortion tests? Can this be done with the -80dBm lowest input signal?

Yes, it should be possible. -80dBm will correspond to -90dBFS. Part should be able resolve this. This level will be at the ADC input pins. The input signal may need more power at the SMA input due to the loss of the transformer and discrete components.
