TLA2022: Difference between ADS1015 and TLA2022

Hi there,

My customer is asking for a cheaper version of ADS1015 and I found TLA2022 should be the one.

However, I'm wondering what are the differences between the two?

At first glance, I found that the operating temperatures are different.

Could you please point out the rest?

    The TLA202x is designed to be a lower cost version of the ADS1015 family of devices. It has many of the same features, but is limited in some of the specifications in comparison to the ADS1015.

    First, the TLA2022 is only specified from -40°C to 85°C (instead of -40°C to 125°C). Also, the typical offset and offset drift are higher with no listed maximum specification. The gain error also has no listed maximum and the typical gain error drift is higher.

    You can see changes in the configuration register. You should note that the latching comparator does not exist in the TLA2022, and that the ALERT/RDY pin has also been removed.

    Regardless, the two devices are very similar. In most applications, you can use the two devices interchangeably.
