DAC60096: SPI pins for communication through Aardvark I2C/SPI host adapter

Part Number: DAC60096

Hello,

I am trying to communicate with my DAC60096 by sending data from an Aardvark host adapter. I am wondering about the pins on the DAC. There are 8 SPI pins, only 4 of which correspond to output headers on the Aardvark (SCLK, SDI, SDO, and /CS). The other four pins on the DAC (/CLEAR, /RESET, /LDAC, and STATS) do not have a header to connect to on the Aardvark. Will this be okay for communication? Do the other four pins not need to be connected in order to communicate with the DAC?

Thanks

  • Hi Lucas,

Some of the pins can be set to a static state for operation. /RESET and /CLEAR should be set to logic high (DVDD), /LDAC can be set low (GND), and STATS can be left unconnected, as it is a digital output pin.

    Thanks!
    Paul
