ADS8319: Power sequencing requirements for ADS8319 ?

Dear Team,

My customer is considering the ADS8319 for a new design.

1. Is there any power sequencing requirement for the device ?

2. For power saving, is it possible to supply one of the supply types without supplying the other for a long period without causing any damage ?

    Hello Nir,

    There is not a power sequencing requirement for ADS8319, but during normal operation, the digital supply +Vbd must be less or equal to the analog supply +Va.

    We have not tested the ADS8319 in this manner, but once a conversion is complete, the device automatically enters the low-power mode, which reduces current consumption to around 50nA. If you did remove one of the supplies, there will be internal current leakage paths which may increase the overall current in power-down mode.
