Does anyone know this device??
It was mounted to a 1981 Ford Capri cluster, might be a Frequency to voltage converter but I cannot find any information...
Any help is highly appreciated
Carsten
Is there an interconnection with national part LM2907 (Frequency to Voltage Converter)?
Hi Carsten,
As you know, this is a very old, obsolete device, and my search of obsolete devices has turned up nothing. Chances are it may have been a custom device, and if that is the case, no information could be provided as it would have been under NDA. If anything does turn up that can be shared, I will let you know, otherwise, we'll close this request.
And just wondering why you suggested it was an F-to-V converter?
Thanks for reaching out on E2E.
Regards,
~Leonard
Well guess what? The IC is used for the speedometer module, and the Smithsonian had information about this! Check out the archives:

Plus, see attached report, highlighting the tach design, and the author's difficulty to find any information about the design.
