How to use the GUI of DAC3482EVM

Part Number: DAC3482EVM

Hello,

I bought DAC3482EVM and TSW1400 pattern generator a few days. I could not success the operation of EVM board until now.

(to show the output waveform) during 3 days.

Because I don’t have signal generator, I want to use secondary clock, 19.2MHz, for reference clock of CDCE62005 at DAC3482EVM.

I want to get your answer about my condition as following.

*. My condition for operation.

-. Reference clock : 19.2MHz

-. Output Frequency of EVM board : 65MHz

-. Used PLL

-. Enable NCO

*. Unknown main parameters at DAC3482 EVM Software Control

  1) Input window of GUI

     -. PLL settings==?

  2) Digital window of GUI

     -. NCO==?

  3) CDCE6205 Control window of GUI

     -. CDCE62005 Input settings ===?

     -. CECE Output Settings ===?

     -. CDCE62005 VCO Settings ===?

If possible, please send me the picture that you set to each parameter window of GUI.

It is necessary of me to send the information as soon as possible.

Best regards,

  • Unfortunately, this is not the right forum to ask about the clocking setup for the CDCE62005, which is on the DAC3482EVM. You will need to visit the clocking tool for the CDCE62005, and enter the correct parameters. You may then port over the config file onto the DAC3482 EVM GUI. You will need to adjust the formating of the configuration syntax.

    You may also refer to the following directory for some examples of working CDCE62005 in synthesizer mode:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DAC348x\EVM Configuration File Released\DAC3484\Example CDCE62005 PLL Configuration

    one tool you may use is the following
