Dear Support Team,

My customer is working on our AFE5832EVM and is facing a frequency shifting between the 5MHz sinusoide input (input 0) and the 6.4MHz seen on the GUI FFT.

Do you have any explanation?

1- When he launches the GUI, this error occurs:

2- applying the 5MHz sin, on input 0, here is the FFT result:

  • Hi TISL,

    How are you?
    Thank you for helping the customer use AFE5832EVM and TSW1400EVM.
    Also thanks for providing many plots. I will look into the customer's question
    I will reply in about two days.

    Thank you again.
    Best regards,

  • Hi TISL,

    How are you?
    I asked the first question to our group manager.
    Please try it and let us know if it is also related to other questions as well:
    =============
    Regarding the GUI error:

    This labview error occurs in some latest OS. This is related to HSDC Pro. The GUI is trying to access “HSDC_Version.dll” file of HSDC Pro and gives this error if it is not able to find it.

    Please copy the ‘HSDC_Version.dll’ file from “C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro”
    to “C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro”
    ============

    Thank you,
    And best regards,
    Chen
  • Hi TISL,

    How are you?
    Looks like the customer is not running LMK yet, right?
    Could you please help the customer running the following simple verification?
    1) please move two jumpers of the connecter J42 to "XTAL-SE" side
    (i.e. position closer to the Y1 Osc).
    That Y1 on-board OSC is 40MHz crystal Clock (external clock to AFE5832's input clock pin).
    2) also please connect a jumper to J41.

    Then in this case, please try run your TSW1400 GUI again.
    Hopefully you can see a correct output waveform (to Channel 1)
    coming from your signal generator.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Chen
