ADS5401: ADS5401 IBIS Model Simulation Error within HyperLynx

Part Number: ADS5401

Hi,

I am recently trying to simulation the data chain from ADC digital Output to FPGA, I am using the ADS5401 IBIS model and encounter issues when importing the model into HyperLynx.

Could you help me to take a look at the issue and see if there are any suggestions?  I am using HyperLynx V9.4, and the model editor report errors as following:

  • Hi Silverman,

I have forwarded your question to the engineer responsible for the device and he will get back to you.

    Regards,

  • Silverman,

I forwarded your question to the webench team. They may be able to help with your question on IBIS modeling.

  • Hi Yusuf,

Please contact the product group about this model. They used Teraspeed to create a measurement based model.

We did not participate in the creation of this model.

  • I have an additional question regarding to this model:

The description of Differential LVDS Output in the IBIS model is shown as following:

But to my knowledge that most of the series LVDS series termination resistor is 25 to 75ohm, this model is using 2k as default value, I am curious is there a reason for choosing this particular value?
