I originally opened a ticket on the support page, but was advised to post the question here. In short, the difficulty we are facing is the following:

We would like to use the ADS52J65EVM evaluation board with the TSW14J56 data acquisition module. We have installed the required software packages, but the ADS52J65_EVM_v1.0.0 appears to function only with elevated access rights. I am not talking about the setup/installation file, because it would be OK, if one needed administrator rights for that. However, once the software is installed, it still requires administrator access. Since this is not a viable option for us, I was wondering, whether we could work around the problem.

1. Is there is a version of ADS52J65_EVM that does not require elevated rights? If so, where would one find the download link?
2. If such a version doesn't exist, is it known, what the software has to access with elevated rights? We could then set the registry appropriately.

Hello Zoltan,

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a version of the ADS52J65 EVM GUI that would work without administrator rights.

This is because the GUI is writing to some configuration files in the Program Files folder that typically requires admin rights.

I am checking with my software team for a possible workaround.

Thanks for the feedback! In my opinion, in the long run, configuration files should be on a user basis. For many reasons, and the access rights is only one of them. But if you could find out, where exactly in the Program Files folder these rights are required, then we could probably work with that.

I wanted to provide you with an update on the ADS52J65 EVM GUI.

We are in the process of creating an executable that does not require administrator privileges and testing it.

I should be able to share the software by mid next week.
