Part Number: ADC12D1600

The Typical FSR input for ADC12D1600 is 800mV. Considering this to be differential input voltage, the typical ADC input power when calculated at 100 Ohm differential input impedance would be -0.9dBm approx.

But in the datasheet under section 6.3-Recommended Operating Conditions, Vin+/- Power level is mentioned as 15.3 dBm which doesn't tally with the FSR power level. Please clarify.

Hi Charan,

Yes, this is correct. The default fullscale power would be around -1dBm.

In Section 6.3, this is the over driven specification for the analog input. Sorry for the confusion.

However, keep in mind the analog input power to drive to fullscale will vary depending on the frontend design used in your application.

Please confirm if -0.9dBm is the 0dBFS operating level of the ADC?

Hi Charan,

Yes, -0.97dBm is 0dBFS for the ADC. This is 800mVpp differential into 100ohms differential.
