DAC39J84: Vendor ID and Version ID values

Hi all,

I got a 3rd party FMC board with a DAC39J84 device on it. When I read 0x7F (vendor/version ID), it returns 0x0A (different than 0x9 as per datasheet). In principle the vendor ID seems correct but the version ID has become 2 instead of 1.

Is this something known by TI? Is it documented anywhere?

Javier,

I think the ID refers to the silicon version or PG as TI calls it. I am checking with test to verify this, but my guess is that any parts that an ID of "1" were pre-production parts and parts labeled as "2" were production parts.
