Hi,

what's the main difference between AD7607? and does customer need to change software when change from AD7607 to ADS8578?

    Yuan,

    1. Pinout is fully compatible.
    2. Specifications are nearly identical.
    3. Serial interface operates the same.
    4. The parallel interface has some minor difference in protocol.

    Bottom line: If you are using this in parallel mode the devices are fully hardware and firmware compatible. If you are using this in serial mode, there will be minor firmware differences.
