DAC60096: AVSS voltage when only 11bit unipolar DAC outputs are required

Part Number: DAC60096

Hello,

My customer uses only positive code, 0 to +2047, to get positive DAC output voltage, 0 to 10.5V.

In this case, -12.6 to -11.2V voltage still has to be supplied at AVSS pins?

Or AVSS pins can be connected to AGND voltage, 0V?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Hirano-san,

The AVSS pin must be supplied on this device. There is an internal VREF- buffer that will drive the reference to -10.5V.  Without that supply, the DAC output would not be linearly near ground.

Feel free to email me about this opportunity.

    Thanks,

    Paul
