ADC128S052-Q1: Gain error cover confirmation

Part Number: ADC128S052-Q1

Hi Team,

For ADC128S052-Q1, there is a full scale error data in datasheet, it has a typical value and a max value. The full scale error data is follow Normal distribution for all device.

Do we test this data before we ship those device?

How much percent can a typical value cover? How much percent can a max value cover? Thanks.

  • Hello,

TI will not provide direct information on our production test strategies, but maximum specifications will either be tested or guaranteed by design.  Be confident that if a specification has a maximum value in the datasheet then the device will not leave the factory with performance outside of that value.

Typical values are usually +/-1 sigma or roughly 68%.  Maximum values are typically set to 3 or 4 sigma and will encompass 100% of units because outliers are yielded out.
